The Little Prince is one of my all-time favourite Books
So I wanted to make a Geeky Version of this Book… Maybe Some more Geeks and ppl would find this fun and decide to go read the original work ( i would recommend reading in french )
Chapter I
Once when I was Eleven Years Old I Read a Magnificant Story on the Internet About a Duck Named “Ping” . The Book is Called “The Story About Ping”.

Slashdot Review
In the Book it Said : ” All Day they would Hunt for Snails and Little Fishes and Other Pleasant Things to Eat” on the Yangtze River.
I Pondered Deeply, then, Over the Adventures that One Could Have on Yangtze River and After Some Work with Photoshop I Succeeded in Making my First Photoshoped Drawing. My Drawing Number One. It Looked Like this

I Showed My Masterpiece to the Grown-ups, and Asked them whether the Drawing Frightened them.
But they answered: “Frighten? Why should any one be frightened by a hat?”
My drawing was not a picture of a hat. It was a picture of a boa constrictor digesting a duck. But since the grown-ups were not able to understand it, I made another drawing: I drew the inside of the boa constrictor, so that the grown-ups could see it clearly. They always need to have things explained. My Drawing Number Two looked like this:

The grown-ups Response, this time, was to advise me to lay aside my drawings of drawings of boa constrictors, whether from the inside or the outside, and devote myself instead to Logo Programming, math and physics.
That is why, at the age of eleven, i gave up what might have been a magnificent career in Digital Art. i had been disheartened by the fealure of my drawing number one and my drawing number two. grown ups never understand anything by themselves, and it is tiresome for children to be always and
forever explaining things to them.
So I chose another profession, and learned to program computers and engineer complex database systems. i have made all kind of scripts, and it is true that math has been very useful to me. at a glance i can calculate all the possible scenarios my algorithm could go through. if one wants to elaborate an advanced test scenario, such knowledge is valuable.
in the course of this life i have had a great many encouters with a great many people who have been concerned with matters of consequences.
i have lived a great deal among grown-ups. i have seen them intimately, close at hand. and that hasn’t much improved my opinion of them.
whenever i met one of them who seemed to me at all clear-sighted, i tried the experiment of sending him my drawing number one, which i have always kept on my hdd or in my email account. i would try to find out, so , if this was a person of true understanding. but, whoever it was, he,or she, would always say:
“That is a hat.”
then i would never talk to that person about ping the duck and the adventures on the Yangtsee river. i would bring myself down to his level.
i would talk to him about operating systems, new technologies, benchmarks. and the grown-up would be greatly pleased to have met such a sensible man.
…….
* Why “The Story About Ping” ? : well It’s a timeless geek humor classic.
* What is in the “boa” ? : it is the photoshop classic duck, the msn default avatar, i was not able to resist putting a duck inside the boa, besides i was pondering on the things the ducks eat, well they can also get eaten, no? ( i ponder in a reversed manner).
